Virtual fraternities (where men call or video-in for the fraternity meeting) can work when you have pre-existing relationships with the other men. This could be men from your family or friends that do not live in your area. Even with pre-existing bonds, a greater commitment must be made by each man to honor the weekly fraternity meeting. Here's our advice:

  1. use a video conferencing platform like Google Hangouts or FaceTime so you can see the members of the fraternity every week. 
  2. be religious about the day of the week and time that the fraternity meets
  3. be even more rigorous about daily check-ins with your anchor

The success rates of virtual groups formed online without these previous bonds have not proved to be high and we do not recommend them at this time.
