Thank you for taking the initiative to start a group! We are here to help you make the most of it.
We have three group types on the Exodus 90 app. If you need help determining which is the best fit for you, we will be happy to help.
The three types are Private Fraternity, Remote Fraternity, and Community.
Private Fraternity
This is the most common kind of group on the app today and can be most easily compared to a group chat. A private fraternity is started by a user (like you) and is invite-only (hence "private"). You can add other users directly to the fraternity, text a link to a friend, or even post a unique QR code in the parish bulletin.
To start a fraternity, go to the Message tab and hit the new icon in the top right.
Then just add more than one other contact to the list of recipients. Once you have more than one person in the chat, you'll be able to add a name to the group.
Once you enter the name, just send your first message to the group, and the fraternity will now appear on your messages list.
Community
A Community is a public group with a physical address. One of the main benefits is that these are easily located by new members in your area since Communities are displayed on a map and available for anyone to join.
Right now, the only way to start a new community is to log in to our old app interface, available at legendary.exodus90.com, and go to the communities tab there.
Currently, this feature is still under construction. Besides the campfire chat and the directory, we are designing a few other features to add. If you have ideas of what you'd like to see here, please let us know at [email protected].
Remote Fraternity
For those men who are not near another fraternity or community, or for whom the local meetings do not work, we have a remote Fraternity Finder. We are currently working on building this for the new app interface, but it can still be accessed at https://legendary.exodus90.com/main/chat/fraternity-finder.
