There are two types of fraternities, local fraternities and remote fraternities. We have found that local fraternities tend to last longer and have a greater impact, so we recommend you start there.

This article will explain how to set up a fraternity chat on the app. To learn what fraternity looks like in the Exodus lifestyle check out the fraternity overview.

Starting a Local Fraternity

To start a group chat for your fraternity

  1. Tap the "plus" button at the top of the page.

  2. Select "Start a New Fraternity."

  3. Then, add a photo and name your fraternity.

  4. To finish, click "Create" in the top right corner.

  5. And you are done! The next step is to add brothers!

Joining a Local Fraternity—How to Add Your Brothers

For your brothers to join you in your fraternity, you will need to send them an invitation. This invitation can be sent in a number of ways.

  1. In the fraternity tab, select the fraternity that you are working on.

  2. Then, click the add members button in the top right corner.

  3. Now invite your brothers.

    1. Use the "Share invite" option at the top of the screen to text a link to any of your contacts.

    2. If you have allowed the Exodus app to access your contacts, you send them a direct message! The app will sort your contacts by men who already have the Exodus app, men recommended from your contacts list, and the rest of your contacts.

    3. At the end of this list, you will see the copy an invite link, show a QR code, send a text, or send and email with the join link.
